Have you ever wondered how you can better promote yourself, your clients or others in your organization as leaders and get their names out in the community? If so, here’s your chance to learn how to make the most of prime real estate in The Des Moines Register by writing like a leader and getting yourself or others the recognition they deserve.
So just how do you go about doing this? Simply submit an article to the daily “You should get to know” section, which features profiles of professionals ranging from acupuncturists and professors to zoologists and executives of local companies, letting each explain “why I do what I do” and “my leadership philosophy.”
Because many of us in public relations are often tasked with creating these profiles for clients, senior management, other leaders in our organization, or even for ourselves, this presentation will help you create a profile that stands out as you name particular strengths in jargon-free answers that will engage readers and make you, or the person you are writing about, the leader they seek out the next day.
