Aerobic exercise is good for all the muscles in your body, except one — the brain. And according to Edison, the only function of the body is to carry the brain! “Mindrobics” is a workout program for the brain, providing participants with insights into better ways to approach challenges and use one’s innate, creative abilities to solve them. As one participant said, “It’s amazing what Abe can teach us with a milk bottle, a piece of paper, a shovel, a recipe box and stuffed animal and a hard-boiled egg.”

Bio: Currently senior account manager at Trilix in Des Moines, Abe is celebrating his 40th year in the field of advertising, where he has put his creativity to use creating campaigns and marketing solutions for clients throughout the area. His passion for advertising is only matched by his passion for another creative form — jazz. He hosts a weekly radio show, chairs the Community Jazz Center of Greater Des Moines and, along with his wife, curates the internationally-recognized Jazz at Caspe Terrace Series in Waukee, IA. And if that isn’t enough, he is the leader and accordion player for Iowa’s only klezmer band. Abe and his wife, Jackie, live in Des Moines. Did we mention that he also teaches marketing and music courses at several area colleges and universities!
